Since 2007, Alisa Chunephisal has built a reputation as a skilled and tenacious attorney. She is known for combining strategic legal analysis with an empathetic approach, ensuring her clients receive both exceptional representation and unwavering support during challenging times. Alisa has helped clients in Fairfax and Manassas navigate divorce, custody, and other family law challenges with a blend of fierce advocacy and genuine compassion. As a divorced parent herself, Alisa understands the emotional toll these cases can take—and she works tirelessly to protect her clients’ rights while guiding them toward a stronger future.

Alisa’s career began as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Marcus D. Williams (Ret.) of the Fairfax County Circuit Court, where she observed countless trials and assisted in crafting fair and thoughtful rulings. She went on to serve as an enforcement attorney with the U.S. Department of Transportation and as an associate at Norton Rose Fulbright, LLP —one of the largest and highest-grossing law firms in the world. Transitioning to family law, she worked for Virginia’s largest family law firm before establishing NOVA Legal Professionals in 2020. She founded NOVA Legal Professionals to provide clients with more personal, attentive service.

Her dedication has earned her recognition as one of the 10 Best Attorneys in Virginia by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys (2018, 2019), a Top 10 Family Law Attorney Under 40 by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys (2018), and as a Super Lawyer (2024, 2025).

Whether resolving complex property division, advocating for child custody arrangements, or negotiating support agreements, Alisa’s approach is clear: protect her clients’ interests, reduce unnecessary conflict, and empower them to move forward with confidence.
