Abby McNelis is an attorney practicing family law exclusively. Her practice covers every type of family law matter, including separation, divorce, custody, visitation and support cases. Abby is a zealous advocate for her clients’ interests both in and out of the courtroom. Her courtroom presence and skills are notable and one of her many strengths as an attorney.
Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Abby graduated from The Pennsylvania State University before earning her law degree from George Mason University. At George Mason University, she worked towards her goal to become a family law attorney because her primary ambition was always to become not only a lawyer, but specifically, one that helps families move forward during this critical time in their lives. After graduating from law school, Abby completed a one-year judicial clerkship with the Fairfax County Circuit Court. Family law cases made up a majority of the court’s docket, and through her clerkship she gained valuable insight into the judicial decision-making process.
Abby represents clients in Spotsylvania County, Stafford County, Fairfax County and all across Northern Virginia. Abby is admitted to the Virginia State Bar, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
